Here’s a great news for all fight fans. Buakaw Village, home of global fighting icon, Buakaw Banchamek, is set to hold the first ever Muay Thai training camp.
Organized in partnership with Super Export Shop, the training camp will be hosted by none other than Buakaw himself, along with the Banchamek camp’s latest addition: Yodwicha.
Buakaw Banchamek is widely recognized as the most influential athlete in Thailand’s fight sport history. He is a global fighting icon well-liked by fans all over the world. In the early 2000s, Buakaw single-handedly elevated the status of Muay Thai as the most effective striking arts on the planet when he destroyed all opponents in K1. The living legend has held numerous top accolades in Muay Thai and kickboxing, continuing to compete on the world stage.
Along with him for the training camp is Yodwicha, a Muay Thai phenom and legend in the making. He has defeated many Thai legends including Singdam Kiatmoo9, Nong-O Kaiyanghadao, and even Saenchai! After running out of opponents in the domestic fighting circuit, Yodwicha has set his eyes on global domination.
This training camp is targeted at all beginners who wish to learn and experience the sport directly from the legend himself. Over the course of three days, Buakaw and Yodwicha will impart the basics of Muay Thai including Muay Thai movement, Wai Kru, techniques and fitness training.
A camp for advanced-level is already planned for the near future. For fans residing or visiting Bangkok, a training camp in the Thai capital city is also in the works. Look out for more news and updates coming soon.
Buakaw Village Muay Thai Training Camp will be held from 21 to 23 June and will be priced at 12,000 Thai Baht each inclusive of training, meals, accomodation, Banchamek gym apparel and a certificate of attendance.
